Long Beach CERT Basic Classes are offered for free to residents and community members, on a first come, first serve. Registration is required to attend. Unless indicated, classes are intended for adults 18 years and older.
Please keep in mind that we have an extensive waiting list for open spots. If you sign up and don’t show, someone else on the waiting list will have lost the opportunity to attend. If you find yourself unable to attend, please notify the CERT office at least a week prior to the class date so that we may fill your seat.
Classes will begin Friday evening and run from 6:00PM until approximately 10:30PM. The Saturday and Sunday classes will begin at 8:00AM and run until approximately 6:30PM.

Classes will begin on a Wednesday and run from 6:00PM until approximately 9:30PM. After the seven consecutive weeks, the students will participate in a final review of the course and conclude with a disaster exercise and graduation ceremony. The ceremony will occur on the Sunday immediately following the last Wednesday class.

The registration process can now be done ONLINE! Find the class you wish to enroll in above. Make sure you include your first and last name, phone number, home address, and e-mail. If you register for a class that is already full, you will have the ability to be placed on the waiting list.
